Chartered Financial Planner

Jon has worked in financial services for over 30 years and is a Certified Financial PlannerCM and Chartered Wealth Manager. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and the Personal Finance Society.

He has a wide knowledge base with extensive experience of advising high net worth individuals as they seek to understand their wealth and what it means for them and their families.

After Lloyds, Jon moved to Fraser Smith and specialised in giving advice to clients of other professional firms including leading local solicitors and accountants. In 1998, in conjunction with one of those professional connections, Taylor Walton LLP, he formed and was Managing Director of Hart House Financial Planning. This successful company was then sold to Thinc in 2004, which after several mergers, subsequently became Towery (now Evelyn Partners) in 2013. Jon left Towry a year later and now enjoys working with ex-colleagues from this Thinc days at HC Wealth Management.

Jon has been advising many of his clients for several years and believes that advice is about an ongoing close relationship. His experiences have also taught him that ‘big is not beautiful’ as a large corporate culture often gets in the way of providing sound, flexible, efficient, and cost-effective Financial Planning on a personal basis that is client focused.

Outside of work, Jon is married with two grown up children who have now flown the nest. The family love Henry, their faithful Goldador. Jon enjoys playing gold and trying to maintain a single figure handicap as well as tending the garden. Unfortunately, he finds these activities tend to be mutually exclusive!
