Louise Norman

Director & Certified Financial Planner

Louise is a Certified Financial PlannerCM professional and Director of HC Wealth Management. She looks after a number of clients, with a particular focus on Lifetime Cashflow Planning and Investment Management. In her role as Director, Louise is also responsible for the day to day running of the business and overseeing the support team.

She started her career in financial services in January 2001, having attained an LLB Hons Law degree at Nottingham Trent University. After graduation, Louise joined Ian Shipway as a Paraplanner in the company he owned at that time. Louise worked closely with Ian to provide clients with strategic financial planning and management of assets within the context of the financial plan and gained many years’ experience in this area.

During her time with Thinc, which later became Bluefin, Louise’s remit expanded considerably, resulting in her role as Head of Professional Services at Bluefin Wealth Management, where she had responsibility for an award-winning team of around thirty Paraplanners based in eight offices in England and Wales. Louise left Bluefin in August 2010 to concentrate on a more client focused role.

Whilst at HC Wealth Management, Louise has helped to bring together the team of Planners and support staff and ensure that everyone within the business delivers a high quality client service in Lifetime Cashflow Modelling, Financial Planning and Investment Advice.

Although now a Financial Planner, Louise received the designation of Accredited Paraplanner from the Institute of Financial Planning in 2011, in recognition of the work she has done and support she has given to the Paraplanning Profession.

Outside work, Louise enjoys going to the gym, reading and spending time with her young family and taking part in all the activities that this involves.

Jon Pinfold

Chartered Financial Planner

Jon has worked in financial services for over 25 years and is a Chartered and Certified Financial PlannerCM. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and the Personal Finance Society.

Having started his advising career in the City, Jon moved to the independent arm of Lloyds Bank, working primarily with Lloyds Private Banking and Lloyds Bank Commercial Service. He has a wide knowledge base with extensive experience of advising both high net worth individuals and SMEs.

After Lloyds, Jon moved to Fraser Smith and specialised in giving advice to clients of other professional firms including leading local solicitors and accountants. In 1998, in conjunction with one of those professional connections, Taylor Walton LLP, he formed and was Managing Director of Hart House Financial Planning. This successful company was then sold to Thinc in 2004, which subsequently became Bluefin before being acquired by Towry in 2013. Jon left Towry a year later and now enjoys working with ex-colleagues from his Thinc and Bluefin days at HC Wealth Management.

Jon has been advising the majority of his clients for over 15 years and believes that advice is about an ongoing close relationship. His experiences have also taught him that ‘big is not beautiful’ as a large corporate culture often gets in the way of providing sound, flexible, efficient and cost effective financial planning on a personal basis that is client focused.

Outside of work, Jon is married with two grown up children. The family love Henry, their faithful Goldador. Jon enjoys playing golf and trying to maintain a single figure handicap as well as tending the garden. Unfortunately, he finds these activities tend to be mutually exclusive!

Martin Waller

Martin is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Certified Financial PlannerCM professional and joined HC Wealth Management in 2010.

While the majority of Martin’s work now involves planning at, or around, the point of retirement, he applies his skills to a wide range of financial situations: estate planning, business succession, higher rate tax planning, divorce, bereavement and, of course, planning for the good things in life, such as a holiday home purchase.

His approach to any situation remains rooted in the fundamental principles of financial planning – a thorough understanding of objectives and attitudes, and a plan of action designed to achieve those objectives in the most efficient way possible. Martin believes that the review process is key to the long term success of any financial plan.
